Homemade Tomato Sauce
This recipe is from Soulla Chamberlain at Star Anise Organic Wholefoods.
Many tomato sauce products in the supermarkets contain a lot of additives, preservatives, flavours …..and I struggle to find a good organic one with whole ingredients. 1 cup organic tomato puree (250mL)
2 tbsp organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tbsp balsalmic vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp chilli flakes
Blitz it all up in a blender or food processor
Pour into a glass container.
This homemade tomato sauce will last 3-4 weeks in the fridge.
Team it with sausages and other meats. Yum!!
