Are you aware that the incidence of skin cancer has increased even though people are applying more sunscreen than ever before?

So many sunscreens contain a multitude of chemicals that are not good for our body.

With this in mind, I made an animal based sunscreen that is nourishing, moisturising, and is effective at protecting your skin from the sun.

What does it contain?

It contains organic grass fed and finished beef tallow, unrefined cold pressed organic coconut oil, non-nano zinc oxide and beeswax. The tinted option contains organic cocoa powder.

Why these ingredients?

1. Organic grass fed and finished beef tallow is very nutritious for the skin. It contains the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K, and contains other nutrients.

2. Organic coconut oil is very nourishing to the skin.

3. Non-nano zinc oxide creates a physical barrier on the skin, unlike commercial sunscreens. The zinc reflects the sun away from the skin and blocks the rays. Non-Nano refers to that the zinc particles are not fine enough to enter the bloodstream. So it safely sits on top of your skin and is not absorbed. Every one percent of non-nano zinc oxide is equivalent to 1.6 SPF units, so 20 percent is SPF 32, while 25 percent is SPF 40. Non-nano zinc oxide gets a 10 out of 10 as a sunscreen ingredient.

4. Beeswax acts as a natural barrier for the skin, helping to protect it from the sun’s rays.

Ingredients:

1. No-tint: Grass fed & finished beef tallow, organic cold pressed coconut oil, non-nano zinc oxide, beeswax.

2. Tinted: Grass fed & finished beef tallow, organic cold pressed coconut oil, non-nano zinc oxide, beeswax, organic cocoa powder.

Directions for use:

• Take a small amount into the palm of your hand, rub hands together and apply onto your skin. Reapply every 2 hours.

• It is best to test a small area of skin before applying to sensitive skin. If there is any irritation, discontinue use.

• This sunscreen is safe for kids aged 2 years and up.

• Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
